Benefits in Older students

Our retirement village class has been going for over a year now and we have some great feedback from the students and their doctors. Lots of reports of lowered blood pressure (to normal range). Major improvements in mobility, flexibility and balance. Improved breathing and circulation. and the benefits of learning something new, keeping the mind actively engaged, and being involved with a social activity.

Something as simple as standing on one leg has been proven to delay the onset of dementia and alzheimers.

Has anyone else experienced particular improvements in health?

Not really noticed any significant improvements in health. However, having attended "some" of the Sunday night classes i did gain some flexibility improvements after the long warm ups. Initially i thought you shaolin folks are mad spending so much time on warm ups and stance (total 1hr ? ), but i guess it has it's place as Tai Chi would on forms and qi-gong.
